Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RLS Watch at rlswatch.com (the "Service"), operated by Top Methods LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("we," "us"). By creating an account or running a scan, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

RLS Watch runs automated, non-destructive checks against web apps you register, looking for issues such as exposed API keys and secrets and Supabase tables readable without proper Row Level Security, and reports findings with suggested fixes.

2. Authorized use only

You may only scan apps and URLs that you own or are explicitly authorized to test. You are solely responsible for having that authorization. You may not use the Service to probe, attack, or access systems of others, to exploit any finding, or to disrupt any service. We may suspend accounts we believe are misusing the Service.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old.

4. Pricing and payment

• Your first scan is free.
• After that, scans cost $8 per scan, or $19 for a pack of 10 scans.
• All purchases are one-time payments processed by Stripe. There is no subscription and no automatic recurring charge.
• Scan credits are consumed when a scan runs. Unused credits do not expire while the Service operates, have no cash value, and are not transferable.
• Payments are generally non-refundable. If a scan fails to run because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will restore the credit or refund it.

We may change prices for future purchases; changes do not affect credits you already bought.

5. Results are informational

Scan results are automated and informational only. They are not a security audit, penetration test, or professional advice. Scans may miss vulnerabilities (false negatives) or flag issues that are not real (false positives). We do not guarantee that your app is secure or that any fix we suggest is complete or correct. You are responsible for your app's security and for reviewing any change before you apply it.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOP METHODS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS, INCLUDING LOSSES FROM A SECURITY BREACH OF YOUR APP, WHETHER OR NOT A SCAN DETECTED THE ISSUE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Top Methods LLC harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, including scanning a system you were not authorized to test.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
